Soapnut

Soapnuts are best grown in the western ghats of Karnataka due to the region’s moist climate and fertile soil. The trees require little maintenance and can be left to grow wild. Once the berries are ripe, they are handpicked and then sun-dried before being crushed into a powder. This powder can then be used to make liquid soap or added to laundry detergent. Soapnuts are becoming increasingly popular as people look for more natural and environmentally friendly products.

The majority of the production takes place in the districts of Shimoga, Uttara Kannada, and Dakshina Kannada. These districts are located in the western ghats, which has the ideal climate for the growth of soapnut trees. Karnataka produces around 70% of the total soapnuts produced in India. Soapnuts are exported to various countries around the world. Our soapnuts are handpicked and sun-dried to preserve their quality. We Tasmai exports committed to export the highest quality nuts that meet our stringent standards.
